Riley is 1 year old tomorrow and Laura spent the entire day making this cake and Riley made short work of it! She is now wired on sugar and won't stop screaming and crawling in circles.

Happy Halloween!!!

I hope that everyone had a great Halloween! We sure did. We had a Halloween party at my parent's house in the afternoon. It was fun to see all the kids' costumes. Yes, we made Riley a chicken this year. She was a cute little chicken too! Dean and I were farmers...it wasn't very hard for Dean to round up an outfit! We went trick-or-treating in Dean's brother's neighborhood with a bunch of Riley's cousins. We went for as long as Riley would cooperate, which wasn't very long! But it was fun though. Hope everyone had a good time!!

Carving Pumpkins

So tonight we made wassail and carved pumpkins! It was so much fun! My sister, Cindy, and her three boys are living with my parents right now with us and it has been so much fun hanging out with them. I would say we have a full house. My Grandpa, mom, dad, my brother Shane, me, Dean, Riley, Cindy, James, Ethan, and Conner. There is never a dull moment. We told Scott that it's a good thing he doesn't come home from his mission for another 11 months because there isn't any room for him! :) Cindy and I have gone to the gym every day this week at 5 am. I can't wait to see results! I have been extremely sore because I am so out of shape! It will get better. Anyways, carving pumpkins was awesome. We put on Halloween music and danced and goofed around. Riley was even dancing in her highchair.

Been awhile

I know, we haven't posted for a long time! It's hard when we don't have our own computer. Well here is our update. We are still living at my parents house... we are currently still sane, but won't be much longer! We are hoping to get into a house soon. We put an offer in on a house in Highland, UT (about 25 min from Salt Lake City). We are just waiting on the bank to approve our offer. Cross your fingers! Riley is getting so big. She is almost walking. She will stand up by herself and realize that she isn't hanging on to anything and then fall on her bum, but she has really good balance. She loves to climb the stairs. She just flies up them like they were nothin'! She is such a goofball and makes us laugh every day. She must take after her dad! :)

Happy 4th of July!!

We went to Bear lake with my family for a few days for the 4th. We went boating, even though it was freezing! I even got up knee boarding. I havent done that since I was a little kid! We went to my sister's house to have a cook out and light fireworks the night of the 4th. It was so much fun!

The Long Drive!

I know, I haven't posted for awhile! We just got settled in at my parents house (as much as we are going to be)! We have been here for a few weeks and it still feels like we are on vacation and that we are going to go home soon. I have to keep telling myself that we sold our house and we don't live in Asheville anymore! As much as we miss it, it has been fun being here. We went to Bear Lake with my family and a rodeo with a bunch of friends. (yes, people back in NC.. a rodeo!!) This weekend Dean and his family are volunteering at the Draper rodeo and Dean is going to do the hyde pull! It has been fun to see Riley meet all these new people. Dean got a job offer, but is still looking for something better. I have applied to a few places for PT assisting. We are looking for a foreclosed house to buy and fix up, but no luck yet.
